These Terms of Service (“Terms”) form an agreement between you and [LEGAL COMPANY NAME], the operator of $1 QR Codes (internally referred to as OneDollarQR), concerning your use of onedollarqr.com and its QR services. By purchasing or using the service, you agree to these Terms.

Plain-language product summary

$1 QR Codes is designed around a simple model: you purchase a dynamic QR code with a period of management access. When that management period ends, the QR is designed to continue sending scanners to the last destination you saved. Renewing management or purchasing Lifetime Management controls your ability to keep editing the QR; it is separate from whether the QR redirect remains active.

This summary is for convenience. The full Terms below control.

1. The $1 QR purchase

A $1 one-time purchase creates one dynamic QR code. It includes one year of Full Management, unlimited scans subject to the abuse protections in these Terms, and a basic lifetime total scan count while the service continues to operate.

Full Management includes changing the destination link, QR color, and logo, plus downloading updated PNG and SVG QR files. The one-year management period begins when the QR purchase is fulfilled. The base purchase is not a recurring subscription.

2. Your QR Code Does Not Expire When Management Ends

Management access and QR redirect availability are separate. The management period is time-limited, but the QR redirect is designed to remain active at the last destination you saved after that period ends.

After management expires

  • The QR remains pointed to its last saved destination.
  • The destination, color, logo, and updated downloads are locked until management is renewed or upgraded.
  • The basic total scan count continues where the service remains available.
  • You may purchase additional management if that option remains offered.

This is a service commitment, not a promise of perpetual or uninterrupted operation. Redirects remain subject to these Terms, lawful use, technical availability, and the continued operation of the service.

3. $1 management renewal

The current service offers an additional year of Full Management for a one-time $1 purchase. A renewal made before the existing period ends adds one year after the current expiration date; a renewal made after expiration starts a new one-year period. Renewal is manual and requires a new customer-authorized payment. It does not happen automatically.

4. Lifetime Management

The current service offers Lifetime Management for a one-time $5 purchase for one QR. It includes ongoing Full Management and Detailed Analytics for that QR without a further renewal charge.

“Lifetime” means the ongoing entitlement for that QR during the continued operation of the service. It remains subject to these Terms, acceptable and lawful use, security restrictions, and technical availability. It is not a guarantee that the company, service, internet, or every external dependency will exist or operate forever.

5. Detailed Analytics

The basic total scan count is included with a QR. Detailed Analytics is a separate, optional entitlement currently offered for $1 per year for each QR, unless included through Lifetime Management. It may show scans over time, approximate country, region and city, device type, browser, operating system, referring page, likely bot activity, and recent activity.

Analytics are approximate. A scan is not necessarily a unique person, location is not precise GPS data, browsers can limit available information, and automated or blocked traffic may affect totals. When a one-year Detailed Analytics entitlement expires, new detailed scan records are no longer collected and access to detailed reporting is locked unless renewed. The QR redirect and basic total count remain separate and are not disabled by analytics expiration.

6. Unlimited scans

“Unlimited scans” means there is no ordinary customer scan quota and no routine per-scan charge. We may still filter bots and apply reasonable safeguards against deliberate abuse, automated attacks, denial-of-service activity, fraudulent traffic, malicious bots, or attempts to overwhelm or impair the service. These protections do not create an undisclosed cap on legitimate scans.

7. QR destinations

You are responsible for every destination URL and the content or service reached through it. You may not use a QR for phishing, malware, credential theft, fraud, illegal content, intellectual-property infringement, malicious downloads, deceptive payment pages, impersonation, harmful redirects, or other unlawful or abusive conduct. We may disable a redirect that we reasonably believe presents these risks.

8. Destination availability

We operate the QR redirect service, but we do not control third-party destination websites. We are not responsible when a destination page is deleted, a third-party service goes offline or blocks access, a domain expires, the customer saves an incorrect URL, or internet connectivity or external infrastructure fails.

10. Payments and processing fees

Payments are one-time charges processed by Stripe. The current checkout offers bank payment with no added processing fee and card payment with a separately disclosed card-processing amount before authorization. For the $1 products, the currently shown card-processing fee is $0.33. Lifetime Management may have a different disclosed fee. If Stripe identifies a card as debit or prepaid after payment, the service is designed to refund the card-processing amount automatically; identification may depend on the information Stripe supplies.

By submitting payment, you authorize Stripe and us to charge the selected method for the displayed total. Available payment methods and processing amounts are shown before purchase and may change prospectively.

11. No automatic subscription

The base $1 QR, one-year management renewal, one-year Detailed Analytics purchase, and $5 Lifetime Management purchase are one-time charges. Nothing automatically renews under the current product. A renewal or upgrade requires a separate purchase that you explicitly authorize.

12. Refunds

[REFUND POLICY REQUIRES OWNER/LEGAL CONFIRMATION]

This placeholder must be replaced with the approved refund policy before these Terms are published as final. Any automatic reversal of a card-processing amount for an identified debit or prepaid card is separate from the general refund policy.

13. Fair use and service abuse

You may not probe, interfere with, overload, circumvent, reverse engineer, or use the service to attack another person or system. We may investigate unusual traffic and take proportionate steps to protect customers, scanners, providers, and infrastructure. Where practical, we will avoid disrupting legitimate redirects more than necessary.

14. User content and logos

You retain ownership of destination content and logos you upload. You grant us a limited, non-exclusive license to process, resize, render, store, transmit, and display that content only as needed to create, operate, manage, and support your QR. You represent that you have all rights and permissions needed to use the destination and uploaded assets.

15. Intellectual property

The service, site design, software, branding, and other materials provided by us are owned by us or our licensors and protected by applicable intellectual-property laws. These Terms do not transfer ownership of those materials. You may use generated QR files for your lawful personal or commercial purposes, subject to rights in any logo or content you supplied.

16. Third-party services

The service relies on third parties, including Stripe for payments, Lovable for hosting and service infrastructure, and Google Analytics for website measurement. Third-party destinations and services have their own terms and privacy practices. We are not responsible for their independent actions, content, or availability.

17. Service availability

We intend to keep QR redirects reliable and available, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted access, permanent uptime, error-free operation, or the continued availability of every external dependency. Maintenance, security incidents, network failures, legal requirements, provider outages, and events beyond reasonable control may affect availability.

18. Suspension and termination

We may limit, suspend, or disable access or a redirect when reasonably necessary to address illegal use, fraud, abuse, a security threat, nonpayment, or a material breach of these Terms, or to comply with law. When feasible and safe, we will use a proportionate response and avoid unnecessarily disabling legitimate redirects.

19. Disclaimers

To the extent permitted by law, the service is provided “as is” and “as available.” We disclaim implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, and any warranty arising from course of dealing. We do not warrant that a QR, destination, analytics result, or third-party service will always be available, accurate, secure, or error-free. Nothing in these Terms excludes a right or warranty that cannot lawfully be excluded.

20. Limitation of liability

[LIABILITY CAP REQUIRES LEGAL REVIEW]

Any limitation or exclusion of liability must be approved for the applicable business entity and jurisdictions before these Terms are published as final. Nothing will limit liability where doing so is prohibited by law.

21. Indemnification

To the extent permitted by law, you agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless [LEGAL COMPANY NAME] and its personnel from third-party claims, losses, liabilities, and reasonable costs arising from your destination content, uploaded assets, unlawful use, infringement of another person’s rights, or material violation of these Terms. This section does not apply to the extent a claim results from our own unlawful conduct.

22. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of [GOVERNING STATE], without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules, except where the law in your location requires otherwise.

23. Arbitration and class actions

[ARBITRATION AND CLASS-ACTION TERMS REQUIRE OWNER/LEGAL CONFIRMATION]

These Terms do not impose binding arbitration or a class-action waiver unless and until the owner and legal counsel approve clear language for the relevant jurisdictions.

24. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms prospectively as the service or law changes. We will post revised Terms here and update the “Last Updated” date. Material changes may also be communicated through the service or by email when appropriate. Changes do not create an automatic recurring charge or retroactively reduce a completed purchase’s stated entitlement except where required for lawful use, security, or legal compliance.
